Summer 4-Wheel Meet & Greet Event
Did you get a chance to look at the 4-Wheel event video shot in Moab? Did it leave you wishing you could try your hand at a 4-wheel drive, off-road adventure? You are not alone. It turns out that nearly every state in the US offers some kind of 4-wheel drive adventure in some way. They are usually events, or "meet-ups," where truck fans can gather, mingle and watch each other put their driving skills and truck power to the test.
In some cases, trails are provided groomed and ready for action. The plus, too, is that help is usually available from forest management offices located in the area. In other places, the land is open and free. But, they come with the general risks associated with driving in isolated, wild, natural areas.
Of course, it is always advisable to check and make sure the land you are 4-wheeling on is designated for that purpose. You don't want to dig your wheels in where they're not wanted. The result could be a hefty fine, injured animals, damaged wildlife habitat and, worse case scenario--damaged you!
If you're looking for a group to start planning your next 4-wheel adventure with, the Summer 4-Wheel Meet & Greet Event, hosted by the Yakima/Kittitas Forest Watch being held in eastern washington this summer just might be for you. Here's the information.
