Toyota was out there with cars that they knew were killing people, and Toyota kept quiet about the problem for their customers, until the bodies and the law suits kept piling up, and piled up so high that the problem became a problem for Toyota, a problem the company couldn't continue to ignore. Toyota recalled lots of killer cars. Then BP popped its bad old head up, with a mega oil spill, which isn't an oil spill but an oil kill. It is killing the Gulf eco-system and is continuous, an on-going problem.. BP's dirty deeds knocked Toyota off the front page and out of the news. Toyota is making a sort of a comeback -- in the news anyway.. It's is recalling 270,000 vehicles worldwide, 137,000 vehicles in the U.S, starting Monday, to fix an engine problem. The engine could stall while the vehicle is moving. Any driver can imagine the traffic problems that could cause.Toyota is reminding us all why America needs regulators to keep an alert eye on big business.
