Suzuki is an underdog (pardon the wording) in the vehicle market, but it’s not afraid to come out swinging with a bit of slush. Stereotyping Eskimos may get them in a bit of trouble, but this year’s commercial is so happy-go-lucky they may slide under the radar. Even the huskies are getting in the spirit of being chauffeured inside a nice, toasty mid-size sedan.
Of course, there’s the frozen tundra to deal with and that’s the whole point Suzuki is focusing on. With a new all-wheel drive design based on its Sport model, it can handle the toughest road conditions.
This is an all-new campaign for Suzuki, which will focus on its leading markets. With a barrage of 30-second and 60-second spots starting in the spring, it’s getting an “A” for effort. Depending on which review you read, the car itself is either “stellar” or a disappointment. Based on our Eskimo husband in this particular commercial, I think his wife may eventually come around.
