At times car won't start for hours plus airbag light is on!

I have a 1999 Daewoo Lanos automatic. I brought this car used about 20 months ago. It has only 36,000+ miles. About 3 weeks ago, when starting the car, at times it just clicks and won't start. On two occasions it would not start at all, it just clicked but the next day it would start after 5 to 10 tries.
I took it back to the dealership where I purchased it and they can't find anything wrong with it also though they have not hooked it up to any device to find out what the problem could be. They are just saying that the car start up when they try it. They are telling me they do have anyone that can work on this foreign car(I brought this car from a Buick dealership and they even sold me a service warranty on a car that they don't even know how to repair, so I think I got screwed). I called two Daewoo dealership in my area and they won't work on my car because I did not buy it new from them. But you are probably saying how absurd, she must be stretching the truth. But the senario is, Daewoo has filed bankruptcy and the Daewoo dealers can not get parts and they will only service the cars purchased from them and told me to take it back to the dealer where I purchased my car. But since they don't want to take the initive to find the problem I have to try and research this myself. HELP! What do you think that the problem could be on the start-ups? How can I get the airbag light to go off? Thanks!

check your battery that may

check your battery that may be why your car isnt starting
my honda was just clicking and not starting and the battery was the problem

yo all u gotta do is change

yo all u gotta do is change the starter, its getting stuck

It sounds like the starter

It sounds like the starter solenoid is going out. You will have to replace the starter.

i have to agree, it sounds

i have to agree, it sounds like the starter since it clicks but won't turn over, then at times starts fine. next time this happens try this... turn on your headlights and try to start the car. if the lights are as bright as they normally are and then dim noticeably when it clicks and return to normal when the key is released, its probably the starter. selenoisd are not available seperatly, and since it clicks it is not the selenoid anyway. sounds like a high spot on a bushing binding the starter when it happenes to come to rest there after it spins.

It sounds like the contacts

It sounds like the contacts in the solenoid on the starter. The starter will need to be removed and taken to an alternator/starter rebuild shop. You should be able to find one in the phone book. normal cost to replace the contacts is $20-$25...

Listen to the good advise

Listen to the good advise here, But keep it simple. This weekend I helped my friend with a isuzu that was doing the same exact thing that your car is doing. I knew it wasent the starter 'cause it had just been rebuilt a few months earlier. We cleaned the contacts on the wire (yellow and black) that went to the starter and no more problems. Try this cheep trick before spending to much money. Good luck.
