2000 taurus stop light switch
Is there any way to bypass the stoplight switch so I can get the car out of park to get it home or to the shop

Had a friend with a Lincoln
Had a friend with a Lincoln Town car and the same problem; (Stuck in Park) He finally got someone at Ford Headquarters who could give him a sequence of things he had to do to in order to put it into Drive. He took it to the dealer. All the mechanics came outside to see this weird deal. It had something to do with a rear tail light. GOOD LUCK...
