I have a 1999 Daewoo Lanos automatic. I brought this car used about 20 months ago. It has only 36,000+ miles. About 3 weeks ago, when starting the car, at times it just clicks and won't start. On two occasions it would not start at all, it just clicked but the next day it would start after 5 to 10 tries.
I took it back to the dealership where I purchased it and they can't find anything wrong with it also though they have not hooked it up to any device to find out what the problem could be. They are just saying that the car start up when they try it. They are telling me they do have anyone that can work on this foreign car(I brought this car from a Buick dealership and they even sold me a service warranty on a car that they don't even know how to repair, so I think I got screwed). I called two Daewoo dealership in my area and they won't work on my car because I did not buy it new from them. But you are probably saying how absurd, she must be stretching the truth. But the senario is, Daewoo has filed bankruptcy and the Daewoo dealers can not get parts and they will only service the cars purchased from them and told me to take it back to the dealer where I purchased my car.
