Top Concept Cars of 2008

2008 saw the automotive world getting caught up in eco-geek trends, pioneering hybrid designs, electric cars and alternative fuels.  Sexy, over-indulgent, supercars were castrated by electric engines; roaring and irreverent sports car engines were tamed with the introduction of bio-fuels and cars in general seemed to hang their heads in shame in a world that is becoming increasingly aware of energy efficiency, emissions and the growing fuel crisis.  While the motivation behind these themes signifies a positive change in our attitudes to our environment, and is obviously a move in the right direction,  it has meant that some of the spark seems to have been sucked out of the passion behind motoring.

Luckily, concept car designers swept in to save the day, rejecting reality completely and getting carried away in science fiction fantasy to give us with three wheeled personal transport designs and flying cars!
