Re: 88 Honda Accord Crankshaft Pulley
I'm trying to remove my crankshaft pulley and can't get the bolt loose. I am using an impact wrench with 230ftlb of torque with no luck. Does anyone know what the torque is on this bolt or do I need to get better wrench?

try a lot of liquid wrench, and let it sit on threads or around head of bolt for a bit, then retry, if not breaking loose, try some heat from a blow torch.. clean off all grease and grim before blowing the torch on the engine, to be safe, and put up heat sheilds around other parts of engine so you will not burn other parts.. if the heat does not work, then take to a dealer

I had the same problem on a Toyota Camry. I paid a mechanic to loosen it. He brought a long breaker and socket. He let end of bar rest on driveway and used starter turn engine. Nut loosened

Thanks for the info. Sprayed the bolt with WD40 and went and bought a better impact wrench. Came right off.
